Megan Knell

Megan Knell is currently certifying with Speech Level Singing. She has studied the past 3 years with Linda Tomkinson, Jeffrey Skouson, Greg Enriquez, and Angie Mickelson and has been lectured by Seth Riggs himself. She attended the SLS teacher’s conference 2011 and is incredibly passionate about teaching and so ready to get started.

Earlier this year she worked personally with New York Casting Directors Eric Woodall of Tara Rubin casting, Allison Franck, Benton Whitley, and Cindi Rush who have all cast and are currently casting shows on Broadway and also at West End in London such as Mamma Mia, Billy Elliot, Hairspray, Les Mis, La Cage Aux Folles, Shrek, Little Mermaid, and Mary Poppins.

She just graduated with a Bachelors Degree from BYU where she studied Music Dance Theater, Family Studies, and Communication Disorders. She performed with the BYU Young Ambassadors directed by Randall Boothe (BYU Dean of Music) in the World Tour 2008-2009 to Scandinavia and in the National Tour 2009-2010.

Her recent credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Hale Center Theater, Brenda in “Hairspray” at the Hale Center Theater Orem, and was just cast as Benjamin’s wife in “Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat” opening in August at the Hale Center Theater West Valley. She is presently performing in Sandy City’s production of “Come Fly With Me.” She has recorded with LDS Motion Picture Studios, as well as been a featured vocalist at the Legacy Awards and the Governor’s Gala.

Film experience includes High School Musical 2 and the role of Mattie in a Lorien Productions film being released in August. Her dance training can be attributed to Lisa Stoddard and Colleen West, and acting training from Kymberly Mellen (Featured actor in “Joseph Smith, The Prophet of the Restoration,” and “The Unborn”), Laurie Harrop-Purser, and Amanda Crabb (Masters in Music from Boston Conservatory).

She is completely dedicated to her students and wants to aid them in producing their most beautiful sound and becoming aware of the incredible instrument they were born to use! She is insanely passionate about teaching and communicating through music and will share that confidence, charisma, and motivation with her students.
